• Try to reach non-public parts of the site, including the operator area, or other people's accounts or data.
• Interfere with the site — no denial-of-service, flooding the forms or automated submissions.
• Probe, scan or test the site for vulnerabilities, except as our vulnerability disclosure policy allows.
• Use the site to send spam, malware or misleading information.
• Copy or scrape the site in bulk, beyond ordinary search-engine indexing.

Operator login is for XS1 operators only. Accounts are issued by XS1, are personal and must not be shared. Access without an account issued by XS1 is unauthorized. XS1 may suspend or remove access at any time.

Content on the site is general information about XS1 and its research. It is not an offer, a commitment to provide any service, or professional, medical, legal or security advice.

• Research status is dated where it is shown and can change.
• Demonstrations and sample interfaces marked "Illustrative" show how something could work. They are not live data or results.
• Biosciences content describes research. It is not medical advice, and nothing on the site is a clinical or diagnostic tool.

Please keep a first message high-level. Sending a form does not create an agreement or a duty of confidentiality. If you need confidentiality before sharing details, say so and we will agree terms with you before discussing specifics.

• Do not send personal health or genetic data about identifiable people, or other sensitive personal data.
• Only send information you are allowed to share.
• If you send suggestions about the site itself, we may use them without any obligation to you.

Contracted research, engineering and research partnerships are governed by a separate written agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement wins.

The site and its content — text, graphics, logos, the XS1, Project North Star and Polaris names, and code — belong to XS1 or its licensors. You may view the site and share links to it. You may not copy, modify or republish substantial parts of it, or use XS1's names or logos in a way that suggests endorsement, without written permission.

The site may link to websites XS1 does not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, XS1 makes no warranties of any kind about the site, express or implied — including that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or free of errors or harmful components.

To the fullest extent the law allows, XS1 is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may change the site or these terms at any time. Changes take effect when they are posted here with a new effective date; continuing to use the site means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which XS1 is established. This does not take away any mandatory protection you have under the law where you live.
